Our Client a regional player in the energy sector with outlets across the East Africa Region is looking to hire a Manager to operate a mini market based in a Service Station outlet in Kampala.
Overall Duties
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused sales-oriented person. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to engage with customers to drive sales. Engage directly with customers in-store, providing product information and ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
Provide detailed product information and recommendations.
Maintain store cleanliness and product displays.
Handle transactions and manage POS systems.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock replenishment.
Qualifications
Skills
Previous retail or sales experience is required, at least 2-3years.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Customer-oriented with a positive attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
Basic knowledge of POS systems is a plus.
Professional skills in sales e.g.-upselling and cross selling.
Exposure to merchandising and display management
Education Qualifications
Certificate, Diploma or degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
Desired Characteristics
2-3 years of retail sales experience.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in English and basic administrative skills.
