Our client a regional player in the energy sector with outlets across the East Africa Region is looking to hire a Security Manager to take complete command of security company for its Kenya Operations.
Responsibilities
Participate in development of the company strategic plan.
Align Company operations to realise the strategic objectives of the company across the geographic area.
Oversee the countrywide security operations across the services provided - manned guarding, electronic security, escort services, remote surveillance.
Build relationships through coordination with internal and external security partners including local law enforcement, private security oversight authority & membership associations. Security
Provide security advisor to the company and clients
Develop and implement effective, predictable, and measurable standard operation processes and procedures and monitor the same.
Lead the company team in delivering best-in-class security services focused on enhancing the security and safety to the company and clients.
Monitor performance metrics to improve individual, team, system, and site performance.
Communicate accurately and in a timely manner with stakeholders.
Build and maintain close relationships with peers at other security companies and industry
Qualifications
Education Qualifications
A diploma in Security Science (A Graduate degree will be an added advantage)
Professional qualifications desirable– certification in Physical Security Professional (PSP), safety, fire protection, customs, information security and/or first aid area are preferred;
Desired Characteristics
5+ years of professional practical demonstrable experience in corporate security (preferably in both office, retail or public oriented sites)
Knowledge and technical depth of security management concepts including physical security, information protection and crisis management/emergency, anti-Terror preparedness.
Demonstrated knowledge of risk assessment techniques.
Experience with accident/incident investigation process. Proven ability to handle sensitive/confidential information; highly ethical and professional.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing, communication and presentation skills.
Computer skills/literacy and experience working with digital online security systems.
