Our Client a regional player in the energy sector with outlets across the East Africa Region is looking to hire a Training Officer to take undertake companywide training for its regional operations.
Overall Duties
To execute comprehensive training programs that enhance the performance of employees across departments in the company. This role is critical in fostering a culture of excellence, ensuring consistent skill development, and supporting the company’s ambitious growth and market expansion goals in Kenya and the region.
Responsibilities
Develop and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive training strategy in the company.
Ensure alignment of the training programs with organizational strategic objectives.
Operationalise a training delivery of in-person and mobile-based training programmes.
Oversee the rollout and effective use of the mobile-based training platform selected for agent self-training and automated evaluations.
Collaborate with departmental teams to update and enhance training curricula, modules, and materials.
Undertake TNA to identify training gaps and design intervention programmes continuously
Implement robust methods to track training outcomes and employee performance, ensuring measurable improvements in productivity.
Qualifications
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Education, Human Resources, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Desired Characteristics
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in training.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing training programs for large, diverse teams.
Experience in using digital training tools and platforms for training
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to measure training effectiveness.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
This role involves frequent travel across out key markets to oversee training operations and ensure program consistency.
